Heather grew up in Chilliwack BC and being a bit of a tom boy, it was no surprise that she was active in just about every sport. Fishing was one sport that was started at a very young age, catching her first trout on the Veddar with her parents by her side. During the school year she was involved in basketball, volleyball, soccer, grass hockey, softball, and snowboarding. Having parents who are avid fishers, she was encouraged to hop on the family boat and experience salmon fishing in Pt. Roberts Washington almost every summer. This is where she also did crabbing, clam digging and catching small bull heads off the dock with her cousins. A few years ago she took her first fly casting class and she hasn’t looked back. Fishing is now a major part of her life. Her and her husband Jason spend most of their spare time on local lakes catching trout but with a Spey class under her belt as well you’ll see her this winter catching Steelhead on the river. When she’s not fishing, you’ll find her at her fly tying station stocking up the fly boxes for their next trip.
